A Section appears on a learner’s Home page only when it is assigned to a group that learner belongs to — or to a parent group above them, because assignments inherit downward through the group tree. Assign a Section to the right groups
- Open the Section in Edit Mode.
- Under Sections, click Assign Groups.
- Add the specific group(s) that should see this Section. Choose the narrowest correct group — assigning to a parent or org‑wide group exposes the Section to every subgroup beneath it.
- To stop a group from seeing the Section, remove that group from the assignment.
Troubleshooting: a Section is showing for people it shouldn’t
The Section is assigned to a group at or above those users — commonly a top‑level group. Remove the over‑broad assignment and re‑assign the Section to the specific group that should see it. The change takes effect the next time those learners load their Home page.
